West Wales is no stranger to Rugby League, there have been many clubs over the years, some have been successful in producing quality players that have moved onto bigger things, other clubs not so successful and have ended as quickly as they have started.
With the formation of the West Wales Raiders RL and with their home ground being at Stebonheath park, the board hope that we can bring what is probably the most exciting ball in had sport in the world to Llanelli and make it part of the future of the town. Llanelli, Carmarthenshire and Swansea have a massive rugby following and we hope that supporters who are passionate about rugby in general come visit Stebonheath park and enjoy rugby League and all it has to offer.
As for our squad our aim is to compete at the highest level in our sport. Our ethos is to nurture and encourage growth of new talent from schools in the West Wales region. Rugby League is a sport of High core skills that can be transferred to other codes and sports, but to reach this level players have to start at a young age, that is why we have academies set up to help the young upcoming players to achieve their goals and ambitions, all information about what is available in the Rugby League world you can either visit our website, www.raidersrugbyleague.co.uk or you can visit www.walesrugbyleague.co.uk .
